How far in advance should we book?
The sooner the better! Popular wedding dates can book quickly, especially during peak wedding season. I recommend reaching out as soon as you know you want your pup included in your special day.
What does a wedding pet attendant actually do?
Think of me as your dog’s personal wedding-day assistant and personal advocate! I coordinate transportation, potty breaks, walks, water/snack breaks, ceremony assistance, photo wrangling, and behind-the-scenes care while keeping your pup calm and comfortable during all the excitement. A pet wedding attendant’s goal is comfort, care, and capturing unforgettable wedding moments.
What's the difference between a wedding pet attendant and a pet sitter?
A pet sitter typically focuses on everyday care such as feeding, walks, and general supervision in one location. A wedding pet attendant focuses on daily routine AND is specialized in managing pets within the unique flow of a wedding day. This includes coordinating with planners and photographers, following a detailed timeline, assisting with ceremony roles, handling transportation, and keeping pups calm, safe, and photo-ready throughout the event. Unlike standard pet sitting, wedding pet attendant services require experience with event logistics, venue coordination, and adapting quickly to fast-moving schedules.
Do you stay with our dog the entire wedding day?
Yes! I stay with your pup throughout the agreed-upon coverage time to make sure they’re safe, comfortable, exercised, hydrated, and photo-ready. From getting dressed to walking down the aisle and transportation afterward, I handle all the details so you can enjoy your day stress-free.
Can our dog be part of the ceremony and photos?
Absolutely! Whether your pup is the ring bearer, flower dog, guest greeter, or VIP photo model, I help coordinate their role and make sure they’re where they need to be at the right time.
Do you transport dogs to and from the venue?
Yes! Transportation can be included depending on your package and location. I can pick up your pup from home, a hotel, or boarding location and safely transport them to and from the venue
What if our dog gets nervous or overstimulated?
That’s completely normal! Weddings can be busy and loud environments. I monitor your pup’s comfort level throughout the day and adjust as needed with breaks, walks, quiet time, reassurance, and lots of positive attention.
Can multiple dogs be included?
Absolutely! Whether you have two pups or a whole furry wedding party, we can customize a plan that works for your furry family. Depending on the number of pups and the level of care needed, an additional pet attendant may be required to ensure every pup gets the attention, safety, and support they deserve on your big day.
What if our dog isn’t perfectly trained?
We work with pups of all personalities and comfort levels. During our consultation, we’ll discuss your dog’s temperament and create a plan that sets them up for a stress-free day.
What happens after the ceremony?
That’s totally up to you! Some couples want their pup to stay for cocktail hour or photos, while others prefer them transported home, back to the hotel, or to a pet sitter after their big moment.
Are you insured?
Yes! I’m fully insured, which many wedding venues and vendors require. This provides an added layer of professionalism, protection, and peace of mind for both you and your furry family member.
